The film, "The Pit" is the journey that a young girl, Blue, discovers when she retreats to the infamous "Pit". She encounters individuals whose methods are a little more then she ever planned on experiencing.

The bare location was dressed and distressed. Images of squatters residencies were used as reference.

Shades of lamps were ripped and choices of practicals enhanced the creepy atmosphere.
The squatters filled their interiors with random items that they procured such as signs, stolen items, and electronics.
Walls were painted and tagged with images.
Color was prominent, saturated, and resembled feelings of being in a "freak show".

The location for Blue's house was chosen to use as the filming location based on the visual contrast to the rest of the film.
